Light
Voltage
The current
Full of power
Buzzing with the sparks
Poles holding the live wires
energy riding the wire
Stretching across to the next life
Lighting up many homes in its burn
Yet electricity remains untouched

To laugh
would be good!
An exercise
I wouldn’t mind
you can also laugh
if you are
so kind
To laugh

There was a knot
a hurting one
Deep
within the beating heart
The constricting cage
Holding the fear
Piercing
Like a painful dart
The dread and the gloom
Permeated the core
Stretching
And tearing it apart
At the bottom of abyss
Where light ended
motionless
In the abysmal dark
There I lay
Away from grace
In despair
Hope away from my grasp
In that lonely cold
I felt the gush
of a warm current
A touch of the benign grace
I closed my eyes
Felt your warmth
Snuggled
In that warm embrace
There loosens the knot
And the fear is gone
There I find love
In you, I find faith
There I rise
With warm currents
I feel your presence
Which was masked by despair
In the rise
I know you are here
I know In the fall
You were also there
We may fail to notice
Sometime in despair
But in every moment of joy or grief
Our Love is always there
Wherever and however
Irrespective
In your embrace
I know, I am in a happy place
What job
would I do for free?
I say None
and never free
Why do something
at first place?
and that too
for free?
I have a sane mind
and not a muddle head
from
Petushkie
if its a job
it can’t be fun
and to do it for free
is a wrong plea
If it was
to dream
I would do it for
free
Or if it was to watch the blue sky
Working for free
is a proposal
I would be willing to see
I would also
make castles
in the clouds
absolutely free
lying cuddled
in a warm embrace
I am most willing
to do for free
Any other job
would I do for free?
None I would say
and never Free
You know, I have a sane mind
and not a muddle head
from
Petushkie

Rain
Pouring
From above
Dropping on earth
Connecting both worlds
Travelling the distance
Back there from where it started
Finding what it always yearned
But then loosing itself in its search
To merge with soil and be the earthy smell

An Etheree poem contains 10 lines. The first line has a single syllable, and each line “grows” by one syllable until the tenth line has 10 syllables.
Concrete city
Spreads in greed
Covering land and space
With columns, slabs and beams
Vicious and cold
With no remorse
Singular in purpose
Yet eerily pristine
Crawling and creeping
Gobbling up
In its path
All that’s seen
Turning grey
In its march
Every last breath
of the dying green
In its path
stands tall
The noble hill
With a valiant call
It carries
on its shoulder
The fearful trees
and the very life
that depends on it all
It promises them
They will flourish
Till the winds are true
The birds sing
The flowers merrily bloom
But the nibble on its toes
Tells of the creeping foe
The eventual fate
Casts the dark shadow
No longer hiding impending gloom
It knows it would lose
Eventually to be razed
Pulverised
to become
What it now fights
Glued in cement
As stones and shingles it would remain
Creeping on land
Living yet dead
Fallen from the noble height
But when it falls
Stabbed by iron beasts
It would see the leaves smile
For it lived it’s last breath
Standing tall for what is right

hot weather
Swelters and sizzles
happy cloud
masks the sun
First drop falls on happy face
Eyes thank clouds with tears

up in the
morning
matching the sun
quick stretch
off the bed
go for a run
splashing
the image
of the morning sun
on the cool waves
yet untouched
by warm rays of the sun
is what
I alway wish
I must do
as I hit
the snooze
and dream some more

in the mirror
who else
can i see
a thought
a feel
all that is me
my aspirations, my dreams
what I always
wanted to be
my memories, my regrets
how I wanted
it to be
in the path I traveled
and on many path
I would never be
the jumble
so unique
that’s what makes me
Me
it’s me
who else
can i be
