Still, in the storm

PC: Pinterest
In the storm, two leaves
Tossed around Mercilessly
Afraid of chaos
Lonely, hurt and uncertain
Blown away to the nowhere

Then in a moment
In a miraculous act
They lock together
Swirling and dancing as one
still, together, forever

In the eye of storm
Swirling melodiously
The storm meant no threat
Everything stood still and watched
Only Song they heard, not roar

A fly on the nose

A fly
on the nose
Seen
Felt
Yet unassailable.

Staring through
Million eyes
Rubbing few of its hands
In a smirk
Yet seemingly vulnerable

A strike
Must do the trick
A quick
And a precise one
Else you may have your nose
Unavailable

But that’s what
The superior human mind thinks
Strategising a strike
But a fraction to late
For the dipteran
Is unconquerable

It flies
Quicker than the strike
It’s a fly
No wonder
The contempt in its compound eye
Unmistakable

It’s now
Humming in the ear
Gloating in an ingratiating way
I am just a fly
You are the mighty human
Yet I am on your nose
At my own will
and Unassailable

Five year old again

When I grow up, I will be free

Ha ha

When I was five year old.

I wanted to be big.

Big enough

to do whatever I wanted

No one to tell me

what I must do

Or what I shouldn’t

Big enough

To be free

When I grew up

I got educated

I learnt what I must do

And what I shouldn’t do

When I grew up

World grew up too

Now I am a five year old again

Who doesn’t want to grow up

Who wants to be free

The tech leap would be fun, Right?

How has technology changed your job?

Ink dried
the scribble on paper
and it made sense
once I read a little later

Fingers typed
and the screen blinked
words appeared
as the glowing pixels linked

speaking words
the blank screen heard
reproducing faithfully
in the font preferred

A thought
is all that it takes
to conjure a wish
and the magic it creates

I no longer am needed
for the job to be done
it would be much easier
but would it be fun?
