है त्योहार, खुश होने का
बाक़ी रसम फ़िज़ूल हैं
मुस्कुराहट जो भर दे दिलों में, वो सही
बाक़ी रिश्ते फ़िज़ूल है
It's a festival to be happy
The rest of the rituals are in vain
The smile that fills the heart is enough
other relationships are in vain

It's a festival to be happy
The rest of the rituals are in vain
The smile that fills the heart is enough
other relationships are in vain
If she ran
With her little feet
To give me a hug
I would run back
through time
To reach that spot
Once again
to stay
A little bit longer
Hold her
a little tighter
Fill my heart
With the ache
That would linger
forever

“Borrowed bright green cloak
From a clingy parasite
Looks like it’s own cloth”
The clingy parasite will wither and fall. And then would remain the bare nakedness
We wear and feed our borrowed cloaks the entire life, to eventually find the liberating nakedness

They bloom
In bright colours
A part of nature
Of the grander divine scheme
Not to pretend
Nor to wear the mask
Just to be attractive
Just a simple need
And in that way of things
They are beautiful

A place of unmeasurable horror. Where humanity dipped to the lowest. There stands a monument serenely reminding that one must never forget
I met them
Travelled together
Spoke and heard
those moments we shared
I knew a part of them
A part of me they knew
We knew each other
Our selves we bared
A coincidence it was
A chanced meeting
Not something we planned
destiny got us paired
memories remained
Contacts were lost
Like scribbles on sand
With familiarity, both were scared
To be strangers
It felt safer
To unabashedly express and say
things that we never shared
We knew we will never meet
We parted knowing so
Walking away quietly
Looking back, none dared
I met them
Travelled together and parted
yet in heart they stayed
Only to be remember and to be cared

Sometimes
One must take a backseat
Bit messy
Not particularly neat
Watching the traveled path
Roll out through the rear window
Reflecting on the past
And not worrying of the future
Watching the sun
Peek through the passing trees
Shading the half open eyes
Sleepy but not tired
Hands free, Off the steering,
but instead
folded on the resting neck
Supporting the relaxed head
Legs on the window
No longer on the peddles
No longer urging for speed
Or ready to press the brakes
No longer in control
of the music console
Listening to
Whichever song that gets played
Waving to people following
Spreading smiles, not rage
Waiting for the next ones to come
As each of them move off the stage
Sometimes
You deserve to chill
Moving at your own pace,
As per your will
Sometimes, you must pause
and enjoy the treat
Sometimes
One must
take a backseat
