I like this as a senryu because the woman is the star in your words… also, the tone. The last line comes across as a bit of snark: “she is a bit cold.” Could this be literally? Or is she a cold-hearted woman? There’s a great mystery in this poem. I like it!

Heavy Warm cloak represents the heavy burden of expectation what a woman needs to carry, in the garb of protecting her. In that warmth , she still remains feeling cold.

This is what I love about syllabic poetry… we can all receive different meanings from the poetry. That appeals to me. That cold you describe, is a wonderfully human feeling and can lead us on many different paths. Excellent.

I love the contradiction in your first line. When I think of bound, I think of captive, not free – the opposite of safe. Great poem!

I like that she or her personality is cold.

Thatβs an interesting take. My take on the βColdβ was more on her feeling. Despite the cloak of expectation which seemingly protects but yet binds her, she feels cold and distant π
Thanks. Glad you liked
