Silent shriek

In the din 

of silence

I heard 

a silent shriek

In the hollows 

of the heart

It echoed 

loud

The eyes 

welled up

With ripples of tears

Trickling 

over the brim

Flowing freely

At last

till the creases

of the hesitant smile

There it paused

Between the sad end

And a happy beginning
