I hate the season that’s now

What is your favorite season of year? Why?

I like all seasons

Except the one now

It’s hot in summers

I hate the heat

Yet when it’s over

I remember the blue skies

The light morning breeze

and the happy birds

In the monsoons

I hate the rains

It’s so wet and soggy

Yet when it’s over

I love the coloured umbrellas

The dance in the rains

Happy splashes on the puddles

And the platter on window panes

In the autumn

I hate the dry leaves

That muck up the streets

And clog the drains

Yet when it’s over

I remember the colourful fall

The rusty and the orange hues

The crunchy step on the fallen leaf

And the cool crispy breeze

The festive cheer

With the winter near

It’s the winter

And I dread the cold

The layer of cloths worn in vain

The numb fingers

And the cough and sneeze

Yet when it’s over

I remember the mist in the breath

The cozy snuggle in the quilt

The lazy morning in the warm sun

And the soothing wine and cake

In the glittery starry nights

And then comes the spring

Overhyped and warm

Just when I started to like the chill

And my sweaters were out

Yet when it’s over

I can still smell the flowers

The blossoming trees

With new promising leaf

The cycle goes on

Every end a beginning

Every past

remembered

Every now

forgotten

I hate the seasons

Yet I know

I will like them anyhow
